ABOUT THIS BLOG

After too much chocolate and wine over the Christmas holidays, and a guilty conscience about general existence, the Harrison clan has decided to tackle our plastic habit – okay, so the adults have decreed it, the kids didn’t get a say in the matter.

Our 2019 new year’s resolution is to reduce the amount of plastic that we buy, and if we find we need to buy plastic things, try and make more sustainable choices.  We also want to know a lot more about where plastic comes from and where it goes – it’s a brilliant wonder material but our throw away relationship with it needs to change.

Hopefully the blog will be interesting to local bods in the Wallingford area, and as we explore non-plastic options we might help others find ways to reduce plastic waste.

What's this all about?

A lot of plastic waste was generated by our family this Christmas, so we decided our new year’s resolution would be to tackle reducing this as much as possible. This blog is about how we go about this, which is likely to be a bit of a challenge for a typical 2.4 children family!
